Shiny things and Sunny Days

I love it when the morning sun can make it through the cobwebs into my studio. In the chaos lurks creativity...somewhere. Until then, here's a little patch to go on the back of a quilt so when the quilt police come looking, there's something to see... And here my magpie brain takes delight in page after page of pretty things to wear. I'm not really a jewelry girl but if I go out without putting earrings on I always wind up grabbing my ears and muttering "NAKED EARS!". Gets me some strange looks and more personal space when I do it in the grocery store line. Reminds me to go buy a lottery ticket.

I love your quilt message - would love to see the reaction it gets! I agree with you about the earrings. I can go out without makeup in my roughest clothes but I feel naked without earrings!!

I also love your quilt message on the back. What a GREAT idea!!!

I can imagine a whole quilt with things like that on the back... "fake" loopy threads with a message that they are intended to be there; A corner of the quilt with very bad mitering with a note that says "This was planned... it is artistic design."

Etc.

Caron - What great idea. As I never intend to enter another "quilt" show, please take that notion and run with it. Call it "The Judges Choice" quilt. Hilarity!

NARF!!!!! Love it--i have a hat i made that in dark dark thread says "mad, angry, f***ed up" and inside "pissed off"---you have to look really closely to see it, but i put them there because i hated the project--it was a "required" one for a college course.

The earrings are DELISH!!
