a contest, you say?

I'm waiting on a shipment of packing envelopes for
the Fat Baggies, but until they land, I thought I'd have a day late giveaway for my birthday. I'll be making up a bundle that includes scraps from the last dye fest and other treasures from my stash, plus a couple hanks of Dirty Threads thrown in for magic.
Open to anyone in this whole wide world. Just leave one comment here and Friday night I'll see if I can't get sweetie to help me pick a winner.

Took an opportunity for a little getaway...I'll make Sweetie do the thing on Sunday afternoon...there will be video.

Happy birthday season ... a wonderful way of saying it's never to late to celebrate!

Sending belated birthday greetings and I have to say that giving a gift to all Deb via your contest is quite special; equally special is the photo of your 68 yr old self, magical woman. Thank you for all that you give and share.I especially am touched by As Long as Love Allows and I know that Jim was looking and smiling down at you with love.

I NEVER win with wonderful contests like this--but ever the optimist I will put my name into the basket.

Birthdays are such special times. Hope yours was. and that the year to come brings happiness and
good surprises.

What a thoughtful idea to give a present to a very fortunate someone!

Mo - it was just a few slivers but it burned like hell from the sweat inside the glove..how I did not get turquoise dye in the cuts is beyond me.

Nice idea to clebrate your birthday this way. Hoping it was happy - and remember, it is also your birth MONTH! So keep on eating cake. :-)

The actual day of my birth doesn't seem particularly significant to me. Maybe because I'm an adoptive mom and was not there for the birth of any of my children? I really enjoy small moments in the week or two before and after my birthday. They seem to gather 'round. Doing things for others is a wonderful way to celebrate your life and gifts.

I teach 6th grade reading and writing. Revision. The kids want to act like it doesn't exist. It can be like pulling out splinters! We try very hard to make their writing worthwhile, but they don't at all see the need to look back at it with a critical eye. Have nine more essays to grade tonight; better get to it.

Trish, when my sons started getting writing assignments and moaning about it, I told them that writers were the only people who get paid to lie". Oversimplified for the audience, but they both took the bait with glee.

Happy birthday! October is a wonderful month in which to be born. And your hand dyes are beauteous!

the turquoise dye could have tattoo'd you wickedly! no wonder you are comparing editing to scraping off tattoos (after that explosion). How weird. Anyway, count me in!
