I turn the pieces as I stitch and try to get at least a slim 1/4 inch under but I worry that there will be fraying with use/wear. I will give the glue trick a try.Deb Lacativahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03037530669295128974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19241214.post-20325710466368422732009-08-06T08:28:54.193-04:002009-08-06T08:28:54.193-04:00Deb, have you ever considered running a line of wa...Deb, have you ever considered running a line of washable Elmer's around the outline of your applique pieces on the damask before cutting them out? It sort of stiffens the edge a bit so when you turn it, it doesn't get away from you (or fray) quite so badly. Once finished, it just washes out and it's really easy to do. I just run a bead around the outline and sort of smear it with my finger a bit to widen it then cut through the middle of the glue. You can also turn the edge under and hit it with an iron to make it sort of stay turned under.<br />Just a thought.Deltahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09968375210098882945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19241214.post-86870511884725967532009-07-30T21:24:57.864-04:002009-07-30T21:24:57.864-04:00God, I loved those icebox cakes with chocolate waf...God, I loved those icebox cakes with chocolate wafers!Cate Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04079028386218370915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19241214.post-58142978479377627632009-07-30T19:54:00.171-04:002009-07-30T19:54:00.171-04:00still working on the same fling.still working on the same fling.judehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01514075228644109700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19241214.post-63807685653289126062009-07-30T12:41:02.277-04:002009-07-30T12:41:02.277-04:00Icebox!!!!!!!!
