Home....

Sunday evening actually.
Lessons learned.

I intended on some stitching, some reading, and writing.

NOT when you are visiting family and friends. It was all about the people and some places with no time for my agenda. That's more than OK, but I should have known. Driving instead of flying filled me with hubris. Half the stuff I hauled never saw the light of day in New England.

Taking the car just means lots of 'things" to occupy you. What if it had rained? What if you couldn't sleep?
What if you wet your pants three times in one day (yes, it happens)........

I always edit my belongings after unpacking after a trip car. "Do I really need to own this?" "lug this around?"
I always take extra undies, my cashmere sweater (even in summer or to Florida), loose pants (black), bathing suit just in case there's water, and a book or two, and some hand sewing. Some trips I use it all--others not so much. But the times I have sewn or read? Priceless. I can't imagine getting thru those trips without thread or book.
