These got left outside in the weather. A clutch of two-inch strips of cotton sheeting ripped up ages ago for some forgotten project. I guess I'll have to wait for them to dry before untangling them to see what's what.
Everything else in that attempt at "darker" was pretty much a fail. Do-overs are easy.

How a day is done
.. |
His booster seat in the backseat of my coupe calls for me to climb in and out to secure him. A dozen times by noon with yesterday's errands. This morning I'm just waiting for the drugs to kick in.

composing...
....a new, large work means cutting into pieces that I have been hoarding. Some for many years.
It's time.
The piece wants a lot of darkness so a bunch of things not shown here are headed back down to the dyedeck for some Raven and Deep Space.
This cloth piece will be born under the same stars, as the next book. I'm thinking about both at the same time.

new lights
steel & sky.
more tomorrow, unless the sun comes out so I can finally get in the pool.
The water bill came today. I should have filled it with cheap champagne!
I really have to hunt for the mystery green I need for the next large piece.
Clear and dark with vibrancy, a glow. alien's blood green. The kind of green that's hard to see in full sun.
And some Eyes of Tazmeena green too, may she rest in sweet peace.
One little soul slips away and another steps up.
May little Ezra take up her tenacity.

It's an all day rain.
My favorite kind. Takes me to unknown places out of time. Places to drift and dream in.
This was at 9ish this morning. I had to turn on the lights in the studio. My plans were altered a bit.
There are only a baker's dozen skeins of a new color drying under the lights.
Followup. An intersting experiment. I made a mix with all the new colors. A like amount of each. The pomegranate seems to be dominating which means it has a flash a fuchsia. I have been warned.
The writer got a whole lot of pages edited and I've started to tinker with the idea of cover art, which is much more science than art, I'm learning.
Any doubts about the book's genre? Didn't think so.
You know what aisle you're in.
