you offered that you would like 'honest' comments...i think this might be better if it wasn't plunked smack dab in the middle of your background. offer a little mystery about the piece: is this a tangle of highway overpasses going who knows where or a river running under the rain forest overhang? This could further be enhanced with colored threads in the quilting for emphasis. jmo....
This piece has the least sense of motion of all those on the blog. It is too well balanced, in color, and in spacing to convey motion. That being said, there is something pleasing about this when you aren't looking for motion!
