"Never crow about hand dyed cloth before it's been washed and dried" should be up in neon on my design wall.
Here's a link to a large image so you can see all the texture in the cloth. I can't decide if I want to continue working on this batch with other techniques or let them rest as is.
I also have to remind myself that nothing spectacular comes easy and that the best pieces I've made came from very humble starts.

they're always so sexy when they're wet :) i'm thinking of shellacing some to keep the little buggers so shiny

One thing I have found is that dyed fabric looks one way when you look at the whole piece, and another once it has been cut up and incorporated into an art piece. I can't tell you how many fabrics I have all but written off until I auditioned it with others for a composition... amazing how that works! That's why I have such a stash of hand-dyes... can't bear to give up, but not making enough art to use them all!
they're still gorgeous- especially those blue moons. but i know the feeling.
i still think you're too hard on some of these.
i've yet to see anything you've made feel unusable.
I think they are lovely.... and as Judy said above, once they are cut, they look so very deifferent. You may fall in love all over again. If not, I will send you my address...;)
