the elusive Tazmeena Green

Sweetie was not much help in the search for Tazmeena Green.

It's a color to bask in, mostly.

There were a few that were close, but the color of a cat's eye is like an opal. Are you really seeing that? Take two steps in any directions and it changes.

raw materials

All the new dirty threads are up and the fat baggie scrap basket has been replenished.

I'd like to just sit down and make something but I'm still waiting on those dark cloths to dry and reveal themselves. Then, there's the day job to contend with. Quietly, tonight, it seems.

more changlings

These got left outside in the weather. A clutch of two-inch strips of cotton sheeting ripped up ages ago for some forgotten project. I guess I'll have to wait for them to dry before untangling them to see what's what.

Everything else in that attempt at "darker" was pretty much a fail. Do-overs are easy.

How a day is done

..
Winding is mindless and mindful at the same time. Something I can do while watching. Watching the running, jumping, playing. The Joy.

His booster seat in the backseat of my coupe calls for me to climb in and out to secure him. A dozen times by noon with yesterday's errands. This morning I'm just waiting for the drugs to kick in.

Yesterday would have been Jim's 64th birthday. We sang the Beatles song and had pizza. Charlie provided the genuine laughs.

At a time in my life when heart's joy was so low, this little being has made a big dent in the shortfall.

composing...

....a new, large work means cutting into pieces that I have been hoarding. Some for many years.

It's time.

The piece wants a lot of darkness so a bunch of things not shown here are headed back down to the dyedeck for some Raven and Deep Space.

This cloth piece will be born under the same stars, as the next book. I'm thinking about both at the same time.

..
too soon to tell.
