stitching day

I spent (wasted?) a lot of time wandering the web yesterday and have been inspired by a lot of other people's hand reveries, I picked up where I left off with this one and will spend the rest of the morning with it. I've had my satisfied fill of household chores for the moment.

  1. Anonymous7:48 AM

And so, about those top "all sort of shape pieces"...
do you pick them from a pile of scraps or do
    you help with the shaping?
I just love the effect, the variety of shapes
matched upon a whole other shape!
"Pleasure" and "Fresh" are the words that comes to mind!

  2. a little of both. I throw nothing away so the glass scrap jar is mostly for pieces sized less than the palm of your hand. If they need a snip to fit, I'm there and LO, more leftovers!

  3. What? Wasting time on the web? Nonsense! Truly, I am constantly inspired by my visits to blogs like yours! I'll see a post about something, and it sets off an inspiration for something totally different! It's sharing the creative vibes, ya know? ;->

  4. Love it! The colors are fantastic. Did you toss it up and stitch it where it fell (A-la Jude)? It is bautiful.

  5. Love the bits of layering on this one!

Tell me everything!

A hot mess

Right after this sunset, the pink moon peeked over the opposite horizon for a few minutes before it was swallowed whole by a thunder...

Play it again Sam.
