....but she showed them a thing or two or three. Slashed, layered and stitched into submission, the fabrics lay defeated. Little did they know she planned to either drag them into the front yard and set them afire OR soak them in acrylic medium and squash them between two sheets of plexiglas or then again, drag them behind the Honda for a few days.
I guess I deserved at least this.

Ouch. Ouch, ouch, ouch.
Nice piece, though. worth the pain!
OUCH!! Looks like you got caught by your sewing machine?
That piece is spectacular. Please tell me you're not planning on torturing it much more.
Yowch that is a Gahjus piecea work! Worth the blood i'd say!
You suffer so much for your art, Deb. The colors are to die for...but don't.
Gorgeous colours, but owwwww!!
A woman after my own heart, I once stitched a flap of skin back on to the top of my own finger after I caught it under the needle and ripped it off getting it out! I was in a huyrry, I had a deadline to meet..... As for the Honda, I got into trouble once during my City & Guilds because we made felt by putting the teased, wet and soapy wool tops (roving) on a bamboo beach mat, covered it with a wooden board and tramped backwards and forwards over it. I got fed up with the tramping, took it out to my front drive and drove my Saab backwards and forwards over it a few times!
Oh ouch.....still, nice piece.....
