Silk and cotton saved




Now we're having fun. Thanks, Liz, for reminding me that we are not knitting. It doesn't matter if the pieces are two to four feet. It's all good.

I can remember gnashing my teeth for want of just six or seven inches of that certain green I was using.

i imagine following the thread's end ... liberating it from the chaotic center ... wondering (hoping) there will come a point when the knot releases

Nope, nothing that annoying. I'm plucking a thread, pulling gently until it stops - sometimes a few feet, sometimes a yard or two. When it snags, I cut it and wind it onto that cardboard spool. On to the next thread.

I'm one of those who loves to untangle threads/yarns. But I do like your idea of pulling on it until it won't and then cutting/knotting/winding.
