the Flibbertygibbets Bowl

I wandered in and out of the studio today just puttering. This square yard of mayhem came out of my Flibbertygibbets bowl below. My Grandma used that word to mean "little bits and pieces of crap that you've gotten on the rug that I have to sweep up" (Here is someone else's take off on that word. I don't get the connection but she's hilarious.) It was packed pretty tight in there and so time to weed the bowl out. Meanwhile, my buddy Jan Thompson has taken to the torch like a duck to water. You could probably talk her into selling you some of these beauties.

what a great way of storing your scraps -- so bright and cheery in the bowl until you're ready to use them in a piece :-)

how funny - I had to go look up whether the meaning I always knew for flibbertigibbet (airhead, ditzy, that sort of thing) was right! According to world wide words I'm at least not wrong, but I just had no idea there were other accepted meanings.

I have three large bags full of these flibbertygibbets scraps.
I so love what you have done with this piece, full of colour and creative ruckus, I might have to follow you and create a couple flibbertygibbets of my own.

Ooh! I like it! And my scraps (now re-named to flibbertygibbets!) are longing to come out of the really large cardboard box they have been in... in fact several of them escaped yesterday and are languishing on the floor of the studio...
Just as soon as I finish the project I'm currently involved in, they might get a chance to shine! Thanks for the inspiration...

FUN! It's amazing how wonderful all those bits and pieces can go together so well. What size this end up to be?

That's funny, my grandmother used to call them "schnibbles", which I didn't realize wasn't English until I was in my twenties...
