An over-busy day interrupted in the sweetest way. There were some early presents to play with.
Charlie's pirate hat is now an Engineer's hat. I'm worried that his fascination with trains is going to turn out like my girlhood fascination with teams of horses pulling stagecoaches and the like.

Charlie looks so very intent and pleased with the train parts, lovely pictures. He's gotten so big.
When I was a kid, I so loved the Good-N-Plenty ads with Choo Choo Charlie that I convinced my mom to buy me some, only to discover that I really didn't like licorice at all! But I can still hear the jingle in my head and I will always love train songs!
Likewise, our three grandsons all love trains ... and two got to ride a Polar Express last night in St. Louis. It's wonderful to re-live childhood through their eyes and hands.
