Having the design wall cleared and available (previous post) is a big part of getting this room back to being a working studio. Finding stacks of UFOs is a strange side effect. What was I thinking? Not what I'm thinking now, for sure.
The winter morning light is as harsh as ever. The birthday sewing chair needs its seat refurbished. Or maybe it's my ass that needs work. Having a time limit for seating is not all bad.
I won't complain about the weather here with friends losing their minds in the extremes. There are limits to what humans can get used to. Nothing like that happens when the weather is merely dull.

You’ve captured the light in these pics. So nice. It’s too bad you cut up the cloth you’d gotten for clothing. Any thought to piece some back together?
Nah. But I can always make more.I wasn't thrilled with the hand of the Kona for garments. I'll shop around come dye weather.
I'm with you on Kona ... just pieced some together and was less than thrilled with the hand after stitching it to a backing cloth ... no drape at all!
Liz, I'm spoiled rotten. The last time I made something to wear, the cloth was pieced from cotton scraps labeled "Provence". I brought a ton of it home from a fiber retreat in FL because no one else wanted it. At first glance the tiny print and colors were remeniscent of hospital gowns. All you had to do was pick it up and hold it to know how special it was. My 80x80 bedspread was the last of it. Dee, I wore the housedress I made from it when I visited.
