YES--I LOVE the one you painted. Contrast is everything. And I totally fail at it more often than not.
It's always my biggest challenge. I used thin washes of transparent Setacolor - it does not affect the hand of the cloth at all. Using contrasting washes is like painting ceramics. You never know what's going to happen until after its fired or dry.
do you ever consider the Inktense Pencils?
The paints (which I have a clutch of) have a consistency that works well on most fabrics. No creeping away from where I put it.
The density is outstanding. So too the interesting comments on painting fabric. Very vibrant wings on the second one. Quite beautiful-both.
