Milly in the curtains

I was finding this new linen curtain to be impossible to photograph. Thin cloth that lets the light through seems to be hard for the camera to pick up.

Then, our Christmas rescue, Camilla, decided she wanted to spy on the new neighbors moving in next door.

I'm ambivalent about having had to put up any kind of curtain there. The house next door has been empty since last fall. And the cats think that yard is theirs too. There may be some tensions but later I watched their young boy get down on his knees in the grass and make sweet gestures to Milly. All body language told a kindness on his part. Milly looked at him hard from a yard and away and flirted off. It was NOT Charlie after all

Curtain and cat are lovely complements for each other. Hope your relief is continuing.
