Helen Frankenthaler died in the night.
She was one of the (many) reasons that I do what I do.
When I was in art school in NY, I was once present when she was marshaling an exhibition of many enormous canvases, her work, giving orders to a group of assistants ..what went where, etc. It was quite overwhelming and I remember being terrified that my presence would be noticed. I felt like a spy in the camp.

she sure knew how to use color. i see the influence.
I see the influence, but maybe at a first glance; your work is so very personal and so much alive that you should keep on searching for the right wall, not for the right medium :)
climate and feeling more then representing nature. her colors and gesture are in your repertoire. sadly the loss of another great artist. thank you for posting.
One of my favorite artists. Sorry to hear this.
I've always loved her paintings and am sorry to hear that she has died. Thanks for the video link.
