...it's time to break out the
magic invisibility cloak
It needs a lot of TLC. I may even excise the most interesting elements and relocate them onto a newer, more substantial garment.
Starting out with a very worn chambray shirt was a romantic notion that has proven to be the proverbial garden path...
I'll look it over in the morning light before I do anything crazy.

Oh, I am so excited . . . you have inspired me to try this. I have a new embroidery sewing machine and I have been experimenting with free hand stitching. This would be a great way to create a sampler of all the new techniques and stitching ideas that I've been playing around with. Then when it is filled (years from now) I'll have a crazy, artsy, shirt :) Thank you for sharing your shirt . . . like I said, I'm so excited :)
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
oh wow!!!!!
i would
line it
maybe extend it, longer,
i think it holds juju you might
want
Had to zoom in to get a closer look--luv everything about it, including the old linens that have taken on new life. Wonderful piece of clothing.

This shirt is wonderful! Cutting it up (to me) seems impossible,I actually shiver by only thinking about it.I wouldn't do it.
Noooooo--don't ditch it...take apart the seams and frame it if you don't want it whole for it's purpose, but if you're sick of it....well give it away. But It really looks like a very personal 'place keeper; as Jude might say. Think first.
This is a treasure. I would not undo it. I have a shirt of my daddy's that I've considered using this way...but so far have not been able to bring myself to begin.
The problem is that although I loved some of the individual elements, a lot of them were done just to fill space. I was rushing, not planning and the overall "juJu" never really came into fruition. I probably won't do anything with it because I just don't have the time...
a Queen of Cutting Things Up, I nevertheless share the sense of recoil at the idea of cutting THIS... maybe having it worn on a chair for now is enough?
I love this Deb it holds your strong magic
